Following a safety briefing, the first venue is the railways Carriage & Wagon restoration workshops at Tenterden.
Then catch the 11:45 train to Rolvenden Locomotive Works. Here there’s four hours to capture the wide variety of subject matter available, from the heavy engineering of the workshops to the fascinating Victorian signalling within the signalbox. There’s also opportunities to photograph passing trains from the areas of the lineside normally ‘off limits’ to the public.
Catch the 16:10 train back to Tenterden for a debrief over a cup of that all-important railway tea!
